The East Coast Gang Investigators Association was stared over a decade ago with a vision, to develop a multi-faceted forum to share information on criminal street gangs. This vision has grown into the largest, most extensive, gang enforcement network in the United States. We encourage all criminal justice professionals to join our association and to enjoy the benefits of membership. Please visit the applications page to download an application. Please note that law enforcement identification must be submitted with your application to verify your employment for security purposes.
A new standard of professionalism for our associations’ members. The leaders of the various Gang Investigators Associations agreed that there was a need to create a professional certification program for our members.
Many times since then we have discussed this need. The ECGIA Board has recently approved the development and implement- ation of a professional certification pro- gram for members of Gang Investigators Associations.
The ECGIA conducts training events throughout the East Coast. Although most training events are strictly for Law Enforcement officials only, some specialized events cater to professional groups. Please visit our training events page or contact us for additional information.
